<description>Shannia had a cell phone for a bit. I got her one of the Go Phones from Cingular. It didn't last long...she was not responsible enough. She loaned out her charger for her phone to a friend...took us three weeks to get it back after passing through 3 different friends. Shannia was 10, and she will be 12 in July. Maybe we will try the cell phone "thang" again when school starts back...just not sure. MySpace will have to wait a couple more years though. I think you have to be 13 or 14 anyway. Not sure though...

thanks for the comment, Carole :D

Hugs,

<description>Abby has not asked me for a myspace yet, but the girls do love computer time. What abby did ask me for was a cell phone. She is not getting one yet of course, she is only 9. I can understand why you don't want your daughter to have a myspace yet. Good for you.

<description>1. What do you think your responsibility as a customer is the first time you speak with your consultant offering the products you want and/or need?

Honestly I talk to many consultants about many things often times I forget who I spoke to bout a certain product first so often times I will just purchase from the first person I remember is a consultant for the company and then just to make sure I am being a good friend I circle who I buy from...

2. Now, you are considering joining the company in which you enjoy the products so much that you would like a little extra income. Do you join with the consultant that first interested you in her product or wait for the best deal on joining forgetting all loyalty to that consultant?

In all due honesty it depends on the situation IF the company is expensive to get into if I have a consultant who is willing to work with me and aid me in getting the funds to join I will work with them whether that is the first person or not if the first person I spoke to is not willing to work with me when I tell him/her that I really want to but i just don't have the funds then really what type of an up-line will they make? It is their job to help me find ways to finance becoming a part of their team and someone who WANTS to help me to become part of their team is someone I want to be on their team because I KNOW they value me and want me as part of their team and they will be a supportive team leader.

3. Would you consider yourself a loyal customer (buying from only the consultant that first introduced you to their products)?

I feel that would be unfair as I have many friends in many companies and each time I buy I will rotate who I am buying from so I can be loyal to ALL of my friends...

4. In a saturated market, how do you pick who you are going to buy from?

I guess I kinda already answered this question... but personally I do like a round robin type thing and each time I do order from a different friend... to make sure I am being fair to all of my friends</description>

		<description>Hey Amy

In my personal opinion from what I have seen both online, in RL and from what I know of personal sales vs other peoples sales... MOST of the time when someone goes to someone else for a purchase nine out of ten times it is due to a sale but think about it this way... would you not WANT to have them once in a while get a sale and then come back to you?

It gives them the sale without costing you the discount... The only thing you really CAN do is make sure your personal service is strong enough to make them shop with you time and time again...

Now when someone goes down the path of signing up with someone else personally it makes me look at the way I do my business vs the person they signed up with... Now in some cases it is an issue of the truly forgot you were with that company... Other cases it could be they feel their personal way that they do business is NOT the way you do it and they want a personality that is more like theirs...

Granted other times it can be because that person just offered a better sign up deal... It just depends on the person and the situation... I am un-aware of what the exact situation your facing...

But in general I find it to be best to accept that some people make decisions that in our eyes respectively may not be acceptable to us or to someone else... Though it is usually best to overlook these decisions and make one of our own of I will accept this persons decisions not because I agree or don't agree but because this is their decision period.

Good luck with each of your respective businesses &#38; remember we only have control over what we each do on our own.

*hugs*

<description>Amy it happens in real life too. You once told me to "open my eyes" as far as back stabbing goes. Well, I do form friendships and relationships from those online. Unfortunately there are going to be those customers who are ALWAYS going to LOOK for the best deal, or discount. When I was in AVON, I had one customer who always wanted a discount...sure she was loyal, but at what cost? I couldn't afford to give her a discount constantly esp when AVON was very affordable as is. I do know how to develop relationships amy, and I am sorry you didn't like my post or were saddened by it. Life is too short, and I need to pick MY battles. Currently, my battle is to be on my daughters side in school. I don't know how long you have been with ds, but customer loyalty will come and go....in my opinion, it does no good to get upset about who Mary Jane is buying from, UNLESS you have provided crappy customer service. Sure on one side I can see your point...but then you said you were saddened by my post....so...while I don't consider myself a people pleaser, seems this time, I couldn't do anything right! I tried to see your point, I guess that's what makes us all unique, we all have different ideas of the perfect ideal. If we were all the same, it would be boring. YOU are not going to have an ideal world anywhere amy! Good luck and all the best online.
